This project involved the conversion of an integral garage into a practical utility room and cosy snug, creating additional living space without altering the footprint of the property.
The homeowners wanted to make better use of an underused garage while improving the functionality of the ground floor. The aim was to create a dedicated utility area for laundry and storage, alongside a comfortable snug that could be used as a relaxing family room.
The existing garage door was removed and replaced with a new brick-built front elevation and window, allowing the converted space to blend seamlessly with the rest of the property. Internally, the garage was fully insulated and finished with plastered walls, new flooring, electrical installations and fitted utility units.

The completed garage conversion has transformed an underused space into two highly practical rooms that enhance everyday family life. The new utility room provides a dedicated area for laundry and household storage, while the snug offers a comfortable retreat away from the main living areas.
By converting the existing garage rather than extending the property, the homeowners have gained valuable additional living space in a cost-effective way while increasing the overall functionality and appeal of their home.
